A time to be a mom

I know that you guys may find this funny since I’m such a girly girl, but I really enjoy watching my son play basketball. Justin made the high school freshman team and his first game was yesterday. I was probably more excited than he was.. When he stepped out on the court I could tell that he was nervous. After the first shot sunk it was down to business. He played his game. It was a nail bitter though. They were up by 10 and then with 24 seconds to go the score was down to 46-48. The play was for Justin to steal the ball and get it to the person under the basket to make a layup. Justin did his job perfectly. It was so amazing to watch. The crowd roared and they won the game 46-50. It was an unbelievable first game. I’m glad that he is living out his dream as he has been bouncing a basketball since he could walk. He has also worked extremely hard and diligently this year at elevating his game. I am also grateful to my employer who allows me to not have to miss moments like this. It was a good day!
